Indian Immigrant Shares Rich Culture and Empowering Story in New Memoir

Troy, MI (PRWEB) September 26, 2012

“To achieve greatness in this life, we need to have a vision, a goal. When we are aware of our ancestors and our cultural heritage, we have a starting point, a real sense of where our lives began. We came to this country by our own will, with a rich culture from India.” It is this story that Inder Saini, M.D. shares in his new memoir,“Timeless Treasures: Passing My Rich Heritage to Children” (published by Trafford Publishing).

Saini and his family struggled, but worked hard with endless determination to be financially secure in this new country, overcoming numerous challenges and obstacles. After 44 years of living in the U.S. and having two generations of his family growing up in the country, Saini came to the realization that his children were not fully aware of the vast richness and glorious heritage of their ancestors.

“I believe that my generation is the only living link between our past in India and our future in the United States. It becomes my duty to collect all the information I can so that I can share it with my children.”

An excerpt from “Timeless Treasures”:

I came from foreign country carrying lot of clout and respect from the family members and relatives. I was idealistic at that time. Lot of people were looking for a traditional Sanatan Dharam kind of ritualistic marriage ceremony, which takes two to three hours and lasts at least two days. We could make those changes because our family was well respected, highly educated, were always in the forefront of social reform and very focused and exemplary.

“Please join me in this autobiography where I share my life’s struggles, successes, and secrets throughout my personal and financial life. I hope this inspires my children, grandchildren, and future members of our family to dream bigger and achieve great things in their lives.”
